We work in collaboration with universities, museums, heritage bodies and cultural development agencies. Sometimes these projects have legacies such as online resources. Here are some for you to explore.

You can also find our digital collection mapping many thousands of resources, inspirations and environmental initiatives.

South Downs National Park

In 2024 we worked with South Downs National Park on three strands of training and resource development. Here you will find the lesson plans that we developed with teachers in the South East, exploring themes of nature connection, sustainable living and caring for wild places.

Climate and Colonialism

What are the links between the environment and colonialism?

This educational resource – created in collaboration with A New Direction – focuses on the locations of Jamaica and Nigeria to explore questions about British colonialism and links to the climate crisis we face today. It is suited best to Geography in Secondary Schools, but is also useful for History and General Studies.

Extreme Weather Stories

This is a growing collection of stories about people’s experiences of and views about extreme weather. It is a publication on Medium and a social media hashtag #ExtremeWeatherStories We are keen to host a variety of forms of witness and opinion – whether expressed creatively, politically, as analysis of media representations or anything you’d like to propose. See also the #ClimateDiary hashtag on Mastodon.

Stories of Extraction

Stories of Extraction was an enquiry supported by our winning of the first Activist Museum Award. We explored the role of museums and of digital collecting in context of extractivist histories and cultures. We are still posting relevant articles here on issues such as consumerist culture, toxic heritage, fossil fuel influence in culture and non-extractive potentials for culture, so get in touch if you have ideas.

Possitopia Norwich

A local programme in Norwich under the umbrella of Climate Museum UK, run by Bridget McKenzie, our museum founder. The programme seeks to activate people in context of the Earth crisis, to imagine possible futures of the City.
